Hurricane Katrina

Katrina is one of the five of the worlds worst disaster. It is also one of the most costly disaster that happen, Katrina cost approximately $108 billion dollars in damages. At the paste our economy is going the reconstructing of the boot of Louisana will take some time. All the people with that lost of there home, cars, and even family members will alway suffer from the though of the tragedy. Being the fact that everything was underwater and I mean everything there is no food, fresh water, or shelter in order to survive FEMA had to provide everything. With more than 70% of there population to provide for FEMA would have to have a fat check to go out and purchase food, water, and open a facility to put all these people in. To do all this for these people would cost a fortune but instead of trying to fix other countries we need to built in America.

Hurricane Katrina was truly one of the worst disasters in the world. The hurricane was the largest storm system on record at the time. It devastated the New Orleans area with devastating flooding and storm surges. After the storm finally cleared away, thousands of people were either dead, homeless, or missing. It truly took a toll on the U.S. economy because of the billions of dollars worth of damages. However, the areas that were hit by Katrina are continuing to try and get the area clean, but it will definitely take some time.

Hurricane Katrina left a huge mark on the world's economy when it stuck and people are still trying to rebuild their lives. Efforts to help rebuild people's homes and lives are in effect now and I believe that more needs to be done. Not only should we help rebuild with materials but more money needs to be sent in to help the people in Louisiana.

@matt the only problem I see with rebuilding New Orleans is where is all this money going to come from. Our is economy progressively getting better but is it good enough to produce $108 billion dollars for rebuilding. In addition to that you want them to sent in money for food which is going to be extra. But what about the money for the war and gas is that more important then rebuilding a state that has falling in the US?

Do you/could you see Katrina causing a spike in inflation? If so, on what resources?
