Legislature Applaud Rangers into the World Series

State Rep, Diane Patrick, R-Arlington, set up the event where the Texas Rangers will be honored by the House and Senate because of their great season and road to the World Series.

"We just decided to try and combine these two events because a large part of the Arlington community will be in town and it's a great time to honor the Rangers," Jenny Goerdel, Patrick's Chief of Staff.

Claws and antlers will be showing up in the state capitol on Wednesday. Both the House and Senate are passing resolutions lauding the team's success. This is a very exciting time for the Rangers and their populatrity keeps increasing. Due to this experience, the demand of the Rangers is going to increase. This means that the change in consumer taste and change of the number of consumers is all increasing because more people are going to watch to see what else they can do. The future expectations of the Rangers should be winning so stores will most likely increase their Ranger supply in order to keep the fans satisfied.

Patrick's Resolution that was talked about earlier in this blog can be found here:http://www.legis.state.tx.us/tlodocs/82R/billtext/html/HR00145I.htm

What will this increasing demand for the Rangers do to overall market price and quantity for the team brand?

What do you think the increased demand for Rangers baseball will do to the demand for other products such as hot dogs and soft drinks?

The increased popularity will also be followed by high standards for future expectations. More and more fans are going to expect the rangers to win and have an awesome season as they did this year. If this does not happen, that ranger merchandise will increase in supply, demand and will cause the price to go down drastically. They will have way too much rangers merchandise and nobody will want it. So in order to get rid of it, they'll have to lower the price, due to a change in consumer taste. However if the rangers have an amazing season, the supply of rangers gear will increase as they will make more. The demand for the products will also increase, allowing retailers to sell it at a higher price.

The team market should increase since the demand of the Rangers is increasing. This Ranger demand increase will increase the demand for food just as Alissa stated. I noticed that when Cliff Lee signed to the Phillies, his Ranger jerseys went on sale which shows the demand for his jerseys went down since he left the team. As another new player joins the team, his demand will increase and more stores will have to put out his jersey. The number of consumers will increase or decrease on the popularity of the Rangers during their next season.

The Rangers finished strong this season, and I think that will carry into next season. The popularity of the team went way up and that will only benefit the team and ownership for the coming season. As far as the jerseys go, there are a few new players who will bring a lot of revenue because of the demand in their jerseys. Taylor is right about the new trade and hype that is going on about this baseball team.

Everyone always loves a hometown team. Now that the rangers are winning, you can expect to see Ranger gear everywhere. The rangers no longer appeal to just Texas, but nation wide because of their World Series run. The Rangers winning stimulates the local economy and give people a reason to spend money in Arlington.
